Nearly 55 years ago, Andy and Katie Skikos settled with their five children in Sonoma County, and opened a small fruit stand on the outskirts of Sebastopol. Along with his wife, his brothers and their families, Andy worked day and night seeking the freshest fruits and vegetables available. As Sebastopol matured as a town, Andy’s kept up with the growing demands of the community by continuously expanding its small retail store.
Andy’s Produce Market evolved into the most prominent open-air produce market in northern California. The family strives to keep the old-fashioned fruit stand appeal while offering a complete selection of organic, natural and specialty food products. All five kids and 19 grandchildren grew up working at the market, where you’ll still see some of them working today. There are even some 4th generation great-grandchildren helping and working during the summers and weekends. All of the employees are considered family at Andy’s, with a handful who have been here for 25 plus years.
