Just because the selection of organically grown produce is not as extensive, buyers still carefully select and purchase only the finest organic fruits and vegetables available. And although the organic produce section is not quite as large as others in the store, it is still thoughtfully taken care of and delicately handled. Andy’s recognizes their customers who buy only organic products, and take pride in offering and having available the widest selection of fresh organic fruits and vegetables. Come on in and ask for Poncho if you have any questions or need help with your organic produce shopping.
Andy’s Market makes bulk shopping hassle-free with their wide variety of pre-packaged bulk food items including flours, seeds, nuts, pastas, baking products, cereals, soup mixes and spices. The list continues with granola, chocolate, trail mix and dried fruit… all available in a large selection and sold at an unbeatable price. Customers get all the benefits of shopping in bulk without the added hassle of filling bags and containers, weighing items and keeping track of those pesky labels. Bulk made easy at Andy’s Market!
Growing from strictly a produce market, Andy’s now has many unique grocery items available to customers. Not only are the basic grocery items such as dairy products and breads available, but there are hundreds more select items that you will also find at your big chain grocery store.
The refrigerator and freezer section of the store is not only stocked with the basic dairy products like milk, cheese, eggs and ice cream, but also with unique items like vegetarian and organic meals. In addition to vegetarian, organic and even vegan products, there are also many specialty items like fish and local beef. Andy’s has also created more space for the increasingly popular “gluten free” products.
Andy’s proudly features many local specialty foods products like jams and fruit spreads, salad dressings, gourmet mustards, chocolate sauces, coffees and teas. Each day, many different local bakeries bring in an array of fresh bagels, breads, cheesecakes, turnovers and pies. And one in search of an exclusive olive bar or gourmet cheese selection can stop looking after stopping by the market, as Andy’s has recently expanded both sections of the store. If you’re looking for any type of grocery item, Jane or Kiersten would be happy to help you find it.
Health & Beauty
The family and staff at Andy’s were eager to expand their store to include a select assortment of all natural health and beauty products. There are a number of different vitamins and supplements for nearly any health needs, some even including books or magazines with information on the particular product. More importantly, there is knowledgeable staff at Andy’s who are more than happy to answer questions and share their expertise.
There is also a nice selection of soaps, bath oils, hand creams and body lotions, with samples of nearly all the lotions available for one to try. What makes the products in the Health and Beauty section so unique is that many of them are from local companies and cannot be found in major grocery store chains. Havah is our expert supplements buyer and would be happy to discuss any products or answer any questions.
Gourmet Wines & Cheeses
Andy’s Produce is ultimately known and adored for its grand selection of top-quality, fresh fruits and vegetables. While not deterring from their goal of offering no less than just that, the family and staff at the retail store have kept up with the demands of their customers in this unique agricultural area, and now offer a wonderful selection of local gourmet wines and cheeses. Concentrating heavily on the Russian River Valley wines, there are many others from surrounding areas such as the Alexander Valley wines. From Pinot Noir’s and Merlots to Chardonnays and Zinfandels, the store has an incredible collection of wines in price ranges for all wine drinkers. Duncan would be happy to answer any wine questions you may have.
The selection of exceptional cheeses should not go unmentioned. In addition to the ordinary cheddars, jacks and mozzarellas, there are goudas, havarti and specialty Swiss, to name a few. Besides not being able to find this sort of exclusive selection at any major grocery store, Andy’s is different from other stores and shops because many of their cheeses are packaged there at the store in order to be offered at a lower price. Michael is our “cheese guy” and would be happy to help you pick out the perfect cheese for your next party!
